First upload

I wasn’t able to upload yesterday, but here is Day 2 of my art training!  There is still a lot to work on, but I’ve been reading and watching videos, so hopefully once I get the hang of using the drawing tablet, things will go better (no, it is not better with pen and paper).

Day2 Photoshop

Hello world!

Hellllooo world.  I’ve always wanted to be good at drawing, but have never had to confidence to start learning.  I always thought it was too late, and that I didn’t have any talent, so I never even took the chance to learn the basics.

After starting to develop my game, I realized that I needed a lot of art work done, and outsourcing it all would be really expensive.  The artwork I needed done wasn’t too extensive — a portrait of each of my characters, a logo for my game menu, and some concept art.  I knew how I wanted it to look in my head, but no matter how much I tried, I couldn’t get my desired result.

From there, I decided it was time to buckle down and start working on the basics.  I’ll still be developing my game, and will probably still be outsourcing most of my art needs.  But I hope that by the time I start developing my next game, I’ll be able to do it all on my own.

I hereby pledge to post a picture a day of what I spent my time practicing!

Have a good one, all!
